    <description>
      The Integrated Data Viewer (IDV) from Unidata is a Java(TM)-based software framework
        for analyzing and visualizing geoscience data. An overview of the IDV's capabilities will
        be discussed along with where to obtain the program, documentation, and assistance.
        The user interface will be covered in depth, including how to visualize data via
        cross-sections, contour lines, and isosurfaces, specifically for dealing with time-varied
        data analysis. Finally, exporting a visualization as a movie, still image or
        data file will be discussed. As time and interest dictates, more advanced functions of
        the IDV may be covered.
