HPC Faculty Boot Camp Agenda Set

The annual faculty "boot camp" sponsored by the Arctic Region Supercomputing Center July 30 - Aug. 17 is an intensive, hands-on opportunity to gain new, or improve existing high performance computing skills, including how to manage extremely large volumes of data, run simulations for longer durations and visualize data in 3D. All faculty camp sessions are open; members of the university community and public are welcome to attend presentations of interest. A complete agenda for faculty camp 2007 is listed below.

Presented by ARSC consultants and specialists, the camp is structured to provide one-on-one attention to HPC learners. Participants will develop skills to use ARSC resources effectively, as well receive assistance and expertise on independent work or self-guided study for individual projects.

The majority of the talks are scheduled in the ARSC classroom, room 009 of the West Ridge Research Building (WRRB), with the exception of first- and last-day presentations in the ARSC conference room WRRB 010 and Discovery Lab.
