Fluent

Description

FLUENT is a general purpose CFD (computational fluid dynamics) modeling suite. It is available on select ARSC systems. Please see the software matrix for availablity. Fluent has three main packages:

FLUENT (main solver)
GAMBIT (general purpose mesh generator/preprocessor)
Tgrid (advanced hybrid mesh generator/preprocessor)

FLUENT

GAMBIT

Tgrid
arschost> /usr/local/pkg/fluent/current/Fluent.Inc/bin/tgrid &

Features

• Graphical Interface: Graphical tool for building/manipulating simulations
• Grid preprocessors: GAMBIT and Tgrid prepare grids/meshes for simulation work
• Import from other packages: Supports a wide variety of input formats, including most CAD programs
