Consolidated Customer Assistance Center (CCAC)

ARSC is a member of the High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP). In order to better allocate resources and to provide better coordination, HPCMP has consolidated the basic Help Desk functionality of all six of its Shared Resource Centers (SRCs) into one location. CCAC, the new combined support center, is located at Wright Patterson A.F.B. and has been tasked with providing routine support for all HPCMP users.

For ARSC's HPCMP users, CCAC is the first point of contact for support. CCAC is able to address basic issues like Kerberos kit installation; compilation and optimization; general system usage and issues with compilers, libraries and specific software packages. ARSC, in turn, continues to have on-site support staff available to answer HPCMP user questions that are specific to our systems and environment. We have local CCAC liaisons with access to both ARSC's and CCAC's ticketing systems to ensure that ARSC's user issues and questions are fully resolved.

It is important to note that CCAC has been established for HPCMP users only. That is, CCAC only has the ability to help users who have applied for ARSC accounts through the Information Environment portal (pIE). CCAC does not know about users who have applied for an ARSC account using the forms at www.arsc.edu. If you are not an HPCMP user, please do not contact CCAC for telephone or email support -- continue to use the ARSC Help Desk as your first point of contact for any and all issues and questions.

To reiterate:

In addition to telephone and email support, CCAC has created a self-help section on their website that can be used to answer basic Kerberos and access questions. In addition, the self-help section has links back to each of the six SRC's websites to make it easier to find information on specific systems or applications.
