Welcome

The ARSC Remote Control Device Project is several remote control devices, bots and cameras, which can be controlled via the AccessGrid to complete a task. Several sites, each controlling a single device collaborate to complete a task. One site can work alone, but it’s not as much fun. The bots are simple with limited functionality and the tasks are designed to be fairly simple, but challenging. The tasks will change occasionally and become more complex as the bots are improved. We will do little things here and there to make your experience more interesting and to challenge your abilities.

So, look at the pictures, watch the video and see if this is something you’d like to try.

Boe-Bots

Here are the two Boe-bots from Parallax. They can grab and move objects around. Both of the Boe-bots are battery powered and receive commands via Blue-Tooth.

This is a NXT2 Lego bot. It is configured as a fork lift. The NXT can lift and carry the ramp parts around. It is powered via a cord and receives commands via Blue-Tooth.

Working together the bots can build ramps to the upper level, turn building parts over, move bots that are temporarily disabled out of the way and many other tasks.
