Eligibility

Open to undergraduate students in good standing at a college or university in the United States who plan to complete a degree program and are United States citizens or permanent residents. Applicants must not have completed their undergraduate degree prior the program start.

Stipends and Costs

  • A stipend of $4,000
  • Transportation to and from Fairbanks
  • Food allowance of $24 per day
  • Housing in the UAF campus dormitories

Transportation and housing will be arranged by ARSC.

Requirements

  • Live in campus housing during the program
  • Participate in program seminars and activities
  • Work approximately 40 hours per week at ARSC UAF
  • Write and submit a research project paper
  • Present work at the Undergraduate Research Challenge forum
  • Participate in the ARSC intern program assessment
  • Assist in future recruitment at their school for the ARSC internship

Please note: Once students are accepted and agree to the terms of the program they are expected to complete their summer internship and meet the program requirements.
