Semester Project Update: Optimization, Parallelization, Visualization

Please describe the current state of the code for your semester
project as related to parts A, B, and C below.

Part A:

You should have your code profiled and optimized by now on 
one of the ARSC supercomputers.  Briefly describe the optimization
techniques that you applied and what success you had with them.

Part B:

By now, you should have a good idea of how you would like to
parallelize your code.  Please describe the approach that you
plan to take.

Part C:

In a few sentences, describe how you plan to apply visualization
to the output of your project code.

As before, this doesn't need to be a long write-up.  A page or two
should suffice.
