ARSC Lab and Classroom

Duckering 234 Lab

ARSC maintains an access lab with six workstations running Red Hat Enterprise Linux, in the Duckering Building room 234. As one component of ARSC's computational environment, these machines are available to ARSC Academic users. 

Room access is controlled via Polar Express cards. While priority usage is for local console and visualization, remote users are welcome to log on and use these systems.

Linux Workstation Description

The Linux Workstations were acquired in early 2013 using funds granted by the UAF Technology Advisory Board

WRRB 009 Classroom

ARSC is hosting twelve Mac Pro Systems in the West Ridge Research Building room 009. Use of these systems is available to all UAF staff, faculty, and students affiliated with a UAF class or project. Access to the room is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week upon request. Room access is controlled via Polar Express card entry.

Mac Pro Systems Description

The Mac Pro systems and 009 instructional tools were upgraded in early 2013 using funds granted by the UAF Technology Advisory Board.

WRRB 009 Room Reservations

ARSC manages WRRB 009 classroom reservations via UA Google calendar. Those wishing to reserve the room can either invite the room to their meeting via UA Google calendar, or contact the ARSC Help Desk to reserve the room.
