Polar Ionosphere ModelIf your brouser supports JavaScript v.1.1 or better, you can review the latest ionospheric developements in the animated mode, covering up to the last nine hours. The JavaScript-based animator supports playback both in forward and in reverse direction with variable speed, frame by frame advance, and the pause mode. Minimally, it would require a transfer of about 0.5 MB of data and about 16 MB of free memory on your workstation to load the animation and to play it from the memory cache. If your workstation is on a fast line, you may want to animate the extended sequences without skipping the frames. It requires a transfer of up to 3 MB of date (up to 8 MB for 24 hours sequence) and correspondingly larger amount of free RAM. Please refer to the following list of available animated sequences and the required resources for their downloading and playback. To refresh the animation to the current time, please clear the memory and disk cache of your brouser first and only then reload the animated sequence. If you use Netscape, it will first require leaving the animated display page by clicking on BACK button, than clearing the caches in EDIT->Preferences->Advanced->Cache... and only then returning to animation either by clicking on FORWARD button or on the animation link directly. |
