I was finally inspired to document trips over the last few years when I had to identify foreign travel for a the Fall 1999 ARSC NAC requirement which prompted me to sort things out. I am sure I have omitted a few (particularly in US and Canada). I do not have any pictures to include for older trips. Here goes....

Italy		 London, Venice, Ravenna, Sienna, Montalcino, Florence, Cinque Terra, Padova, Verona; slightly delayed honeymoon (included NYC).
London: Complete Works of Shakespeare, Woman in White, Stomp; NYC: Rent; Italy: Gelato (and so much more...)

03/2003		 Yucatan, Mexico After over 15 years I finally got back in 2003...

08/1999		 Zihuatenejo, Mexico Z is a place where little English is spoke (yes! unlike the other Mexican west coast resorts)... a place to go back to; good snorkeling and pleasant company there, too.
12/1998 Mazatlan, Mexico Relaxation (nice place for it... getting more touristy though).
11/1996 Mazatlan, Mexico My early favorite of Mexican resorts... Mexican vacationers as well as gringos; my first para sailing.
06/1998 England;
Germany		 Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, Beauty and the Beast, and Chicago in London; visited Argentinian friend from 1977 trip; CUG in Stuttgart.
12/1995 Puerto Vallarta, Mexico Too short a trip (just relaxed), have to return for better impression... seemed to be primarily resort.
04/1994
03/1999		 Los Cabos, Mexico OK place for sun, pretty much nothing but a resort.
11/1987 Yucatan, Mexico Merida, Celestun (flamingos!), Uxmal, Chichenitza, Coba, and more... great cultural experiences in Merida; Mayan ruins were fascinating.... need to go back again.

06/1982		 U.S.S.R.:
Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Uzbekistan,
Estonia;
Finland; Holland.		 Visited Helsinki, Leningrad, Moscow, Vladimir, Suzdal, Samarkand, Tashkent, Tbilisi, Sochi, Kiev, Talinn, and Amsterdam. My parents were also on the Soviet tour.
05/1980 Greece Back to Kriti (Samarian Gorge a new experience) and to Santorini (and an island which slips my memory).
09/1977-
04/1978		 Holland; Germany; Denmark; Sweden; Norway; France; Switzerland; Austria; Itally; Greece; Spain; Portugal; England;
New York; Pennsylvania; Michigan; California.		 This trip deserves a page by itself (someday, maybe). Eurail for two months, over a month on Kriti, a month in Spain, almost a month in London. This was my first time really away from home on my own... probably one of the smartest things I did in my life (including dropping out of school for a year).
Various Canada Yukon Terretories in particular, also Toronto. Only time on Alaskan Highway was as a kid... want to do that again some day.

South America: Peru, Argentina, elsewhere; Australia and New Zealand; India, Tibet, China, Southeast Asia; Africa; back to Europe...

Domestic Travel (see also trips with Kara below)
Many of these associated with work trips (generally with some vacation time or weekends tacked on). I Traveled alot in the States as a kid (<10), my most vivid memories are Badlands and Yellowstone. I certainly want to travel more in the States... many places I have not been (yet).

07/2005		 State College, Pennsylvania Went to see Mom and Dad with Kara and Mya
01/2003 Anchorage Ok, Anchorage is in Alaska... this is of note as Kara has transferred down to UAA and in this trip I helped her relocate. Both a very proud trip to see her growing on her own and move into her first apartment, and very bittersweet.
10/2002 State College, Pennsylvania Family reunion and celebrating my parent's 60th anniversary; they have relocated back to State College where we lived when I was 1 to 7 years old
09/2001 Washington, DC,
Virginia, Maryland		 Visit with Kara prior to work meetings. Museums: Holocaust, Great Blacks in Wax, Air & Space, Hirshhorn, African Art. Memorials: Washington, Lincoln, Jefferson, both FDR and Theordore Roosevelt, Vietnam, Korean, Francis Scott Key, Navy, .... Government: Supreme Court, Capitol, White House, Bureau of Engraving and Printing (the money place). Other: Union Station (complete with a police chase), Georgetown, Gallaudet University, Baseball @ Camden Yards (Mariners vs. Orioles), King's Dominion roller coasters and water slides, ....
01/2001 New York Chaperoned Kara's choir (Edmonds Woodway Bel Canto Choir) which performed the Mozart Requiem in D Minor at Carnegie Hall.
08/1999
(etc.)		 Washingon I'm sure highlight to Kara was shopping.
03/1999 Washington;
Los Cabos, Mexico		 Kara joined after visit to Olympic Penninsula (beautiful);
Cabos was sun, snorkeling, Kara's first para sailing.
08/1996 West Coast The Baseball Trip: Indians @ Mariners (1); Twins @ Mariners (3); Indians @ Angels (2); Expos @ Dodgers (1); Orioles @ Athletics (2); Mets @ Giants (2)... Really!

Colorado		 Visit grandparents; First Major League baseball for Kara....Denver, Oakland (against Baltimore...Kara's team), San Francisco, and Seattle; Monterey (first time), Coastal Highway, Sequoia National Park (yes!), and Yosemite.

03/1996		 Florida Disneyworld (Epcot!), Universal Studios, MGM, Sea World, Busch Gardens, Water Parks, Go Carts (another first for both of us)....
03/1994 Hawaii Trip postponed from 1993 due to Kara's broken leg.
Volcano National Park; first snorkeling experience (both of us); Kara got to swim with dolphins!
06/1992 Washington D.C.;
Pennsylvania; Maryland; Virginia		 D.C. (Monuments, Supreme Court, Capitol, White House, Smithsonian.... Children's Museum and Subway were probably Kara's hightlights); Hershey Park (our first real roller coasters... including my first ever); Gettysburg; Parent's 50th Anniversary (all my siblings together, first time since 1965); Chesapeak Bay; lot's of stuff...
03/1991 Mazatlan, Mexico My second trip to Mexico, Kara's first.
10/1988 California;
Arizona		 Grand Canyon! California deserts (and, of course, Disneyland again as well as Sea World).
11/1986 (etc.) California Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, etc. (Kid stuff...fun for me, too); Palm Springs (Water Park)...
12/1985 Colorado Christmas trip, Kara gets to visit Grandparents.
04/1985 Greece; Turkey; Holland; England My one and only cruise experience. Kara returned with Ruth (her mom) prior to Holland... I saw the tulips in Spring there (and of course revisited Van Gogh Museum and Heineken Brewery). I visited Stone Henge, Bath, and Stratford (and London, of course) while in England. Saw Cats for first time in London.
11/1984 Hawaii Kara's first steps were in Hawaii
